But in reverse this time
Hi. Remember me? Yeah. I know. You're right. What can I say? You're right. I've been away far too long. I know. Really. I'm very, truly sorry. Really. What have I been doing? Well, uhhh... You see, I've been doing uhhh things! You know. Things. Stuff. Certainly nothing as cool as
writing a freaking novel, but you know. Lots of things.
OK. I'll be straight with you. When I started writing this thing, no one read it. And that suited my personality, because I tend to do things in fits and starts. If you look back at the ol' archives, you'll see. Months went by before during which I did not post an entry. Months. Eight of them I think. Anyway, that's just me. I think I got a little burned out writing these entries. And I'm not even funny! And no one really even reads this thing! Imagine what pressure I'd feel if I thought I had an audience and some talent.
So, yeah, I haven't really
done anything
per se. But I have been busy. Work. You know. Work stuff. I'm trying to somehow trick my mind into thinking in a business-like manner which I would then use to figure out how to get a promotion. Or like, a trip to Dublin or something. Alas, the ol' noggin doesn't really work in the business-type ways necessary for securing such things.
Aside from work,
Jen and I have been busy planning the wedding stuff. She bought a dress (to be seen somewhere
here) a weekend or two ago at Bridefest 2K5 (documented
here and
here) and we've nailed down the
site for the ceremony and we think we've nailed down the
site for the reception, so things are progressing nicely. We're going to Mezza Luna for a tasting this weekend, which should seal the deal.
I'd forgotten how easy it was to write a post here, so hopefully I'll do it more often. In my defense, I did
think about posting a lot and have several topics I wish to visit in the days and weeks ahead.
Stay tuned.
